Danson Steenburgen Letter
Dear Friends,
We would like to take this time to let you know about the charitable organization, Angels at Risk. This program is very dear to our hearts. We as a family received both a gift and a blessing that we wish for every family struggling with their children’s drug and alcohol use and abuse. We are grateful, humble and dedicated to reaching out in our community.
There was a time six years ago when our family was in overwhelming pain.
We felt anxious and very afraid. We were alone. We thought we were losing our 18 year old daughter to the destruction of drug and alcohol abuse and we could not fix it.
When we met Susie we began a journey that gave us back our daughter and our family. We learned that the problem was within the entire family, each one of us, not just our daughter. We all took responsibility individually and collectively in the recovery process.
Today, our daughter and her life is amazing. She continues to be an inspiration to all of us. It is precious.
We co-founded Angels at Risk with Susie and others in the hopes that every family will have a chance like ours.
Please find enclosed information about our programs and additional ways that you can be of support. We encourage everybody to reach out to each other as all of our kids are at risk, and we will keep you informed about upcoming events.
All the best,
Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen
